Our Why

At JÅ«içe: Se Lavi, we believe in giving back to our community and creating opportunities for underrepresented students to thrive. As a Black-owned business founded by Haitian-American and Grenadian-American entrepreneurs, we are committed to ensuring that the next generation has access to the resources, support, and encouragement they need to succeed.

In the wake of ongoing attempts to erase Black history, dismantle DEI programs, and silence minority voices, we stand firm in our mission to empower and uplift Black students who are dedicated to truth, justice, and equity in education. We recognize that education is a powerful tool for transformation and liberation, and we need more Black educators and school leaders to drive systemic change.

That is why we are proud to announce the JÅ«içe: Se Lavi Black Educators of Impact Scholarship, which will award $1,200 to a New Jersey resident currently enrolled in an undergraduate education degree program.
